Good Pals 最初的設計理念是將兩件事結合：1. 撲克牌藝術；2. 寓意深刻的格言警句。
我們最早的設計之一引用了蘭迪·鮑什 (Randy Pausch) 的一句名言：「重要的不是你拿到什麼牌，而是你如何打好手中的牌。」這句話深深觸動了我們，我們希望用藝術來詮釋它。第一個設計完成後，我們便決定將其製作成一副撲克牌。

Good Pals was originally created to combine two things: 1. Playing Card Art & 2. Meaningful quotes and words to live by.
 
One of our first designs we created included a quote by Randy Pausch saying: "It's not about the cards you're dealt, but how you play the hand.” This resonated with us and we wanted to create art to personify this. Once we created this first design we just knew we had to turn this into a deck of cards.
